Branko Palikuca
Local restaurateur and owner, Branko, is a Serbian native who moved to Chicago in 1988 and began to steadily gain experience in the hospitality industry, from hotels to restaurants. He accepted the position of director of service at the University Club of Chicago in 1999, further developing his fine dining skills. In 2004, Branko combined the best of all his experiences to open his first restaurant, Amber, in Westmont, a nearby Chicago suburb. Four years later, Palikuca opened Topaz in neighboring Burr Ridge. Under his direction, Topaz was Michelin recommended in 2012 and 2013, and earned admiring reviews from the Chicago Tribune and Chicago Sun-Times. He has continued his innovation and restaurant expertise with opening the Dawson in Chicago and Citrine in Oak Park.
Becky Fleck
Joining Topaz upon it’s opening in April 2008 as the daytime manager and special events coordinator, Becky’s love of entertaining began at home with hosting parties and special events for friends and family. Becky spent 20+ years creating and executing events in the Scrapbook Industry for corporate, retail, customers and consultants. Her expertise extends into the community where she has served on boards and committees organizing events for many non-profit organizations. Her extensive experience and strong attention to detail will ensure your event is one to be remembered!
Dusko Brozovic
Dusko’s journey in the hospitality industry began in 1998 in his hometown of Zagreb, Croatia. In 2002 he embarked on a voyage with Celebrity Cruises traveling the world for 8 years. Here Dusko expanded his knowledge and skills and developed high standards in fine dining environments. This strengthened his passion for the hospitality industry. In 2010, Dusko connected with Branko in Chicago. Together they reinvented Amber Café, which was recognized in 2012 as one of Open Table Diner’s Choice top 10 American restaurants in Chicago. In 2012 Dusko managed Piccolo Sogno Due. Two years later destiny re-connects Branko and Dusko. Determined for another great story, Dusko returns to the Topaz team to ensure quality service and an exceptional dining experience for Topaz's guests.
